Orange Cake


Aunt Patty first made this delicious cake for Will's baptism luncheon.  I can't believe I waited seven years to make this again it is so delicious.  Our family loves oranges and what better way to enjoy them.



    Ingredients
    1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
    1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice (about 4 oranges)
    1/2 cup vegetable oil
    4 eggs
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup white sugar

    Directions
    Grease a 10 inch Bundt pan. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C).
    In a large bowl, stir together cake mix orange juice, oil, eggs and vanilla extract. Beat on low speed until blended. Scrape bowl, and beat 4 minutes on medium speed. Pour batter into prepared pan.
    Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 60 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely.
  • Glaze
1 c powdered sugar
3 TBSP orange juice
Blend well and pour over cooled cake.
